Therapeutic Approach

At Tree of Life Psychotherapy, I provide a safe, attuned space where meaningful change can happen. My work is rooted in the understanding that anxiety, overwhelm, attachment patterns, and trauma responses are not character flaws — they are nervous system adaptations. When we work at that level, change becomes more efficient and more sustainable.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a core specialty of my practice. Unlike traditional talk therapy that focuses primarily on insight, EMDR targets the underlying experiences that continue to drive distress. By helping the brain reprocess these experiences, many clients notice shifts more quickly and with greater depth — particularly when feeling “stuck” in patterns that insight alone hasn’t resolved.

This approach allows us to move beyond coping and toward real transformation: reduced reactivity, greater emotional stability, and a stronger sense of self.

Alongside EMDR, I integrate CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and practical emotion regulation strategies to ensure therapy is both grounded and personalized. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, grief, or life transitions, our work is collaborative, paced thoughtfully, and tailored to your goals.

Healing doesn’t have to take years of rehashing the same story. With the right approach and support, meaningful change is possible.
